Razorback T-bolt

I built this Thunderbolt for a GB on another site. It is a 1/48 scale

P-47D from ARII. The only mods were dropping the flaps, opening the

cowl flaps and adjusting the control surfaces. The markings and nose

art are handpainted and the roundels airbrush stencilled. It was

flown by Capt. Charles Mohrle of 405th FG, 9th AF.

Very nice a fine build of an older kit.

Great job! Especially on the hand-painted artwork. [tup]

Great looking build. I happen to have the same kit, did you do anything to improve the cockpit?

Roy

Nice build Buddho. Love the art work. I too have a kit sitting in my closet that I will get to one of these days.

Greta looking Thunderbolt, Buddho. The hand painted nose art gives it a nice touch.

Nice work, Buddho. The artwork is very good, if you hadn’t been born so late you could have done nose art in WWII!

Same here nice freehand nose art. I could only dream of painting something that nice.

Um… WOW! I can’t believe you painted the nose art! That sure is fantastic. I’ve never seen that before. It looks exceptional. I do have one comment about the roundels though. They look like they are a touch bright. The good news is the noseart really steals the show, though! Do you plan on building more like that?

Great work on the Jug. Very nicely done.

Regards, Rick

Great job on the T-Bolt. You have a steady hand there, buddy [:D]

Thanks everyone.

Id like to do a series of these with noseart…the only thing I added in the cockpit were paper seat belts

Regards, Dan

Nice work! I like the handpainted artwork, nice touch.

Very impressive work, Dan, especially the nose art. You obviously have an artistic touch!

Mark

Wow- great job! With that kind of ability, you’ll never need AM decals. [;)]

Very nice, I especialy like the custom nose art. [tup] Well done.

Thanks again Guys! I appreciate the comments…

Nice work on the ol’ Jug. I love the P-47.

Nice Jug!

Dad once told me that during formation training with razorbacks, he once looked back at the flight, and it struck him that it was a really pretty aircraft flying clean with no bomb racks.

I like this plane !

Do you agree that the best view of the Thunderbolt is from a front side, buttom view ? It makes such impression - huge belly  and so much power under the hood

I like razorback much more than bubletop.
