Hey everyone, I’m currently working on a RAAF Spitfire, and I was wondering what everyone likes to use for foliage green? As I am not a big fan of ordering paints through the mail, I am limited to what local shops carry, which is pretty much Model Master, Testors, Tamiya, and Vallejo. I’ve read Vallejo Model Color 894 is a good match, but Hobby Lobby was sold out this afternoon. Do any other of those brands carry a close enough? Or should I bite the bullet and order some of thr Humbrol color? Thanks!
There are many colors that match is diusputed and all color are subject to interpretation and numerous factors for variation. This one seems to head the list. When I did some RAAF south pacific stuff some time back what I settled on using whatever was closest to FS34079. Tamiya xf61 is supposed to be close but if I remember correctly Model Master has that fs color in enamels and that’s what I used.
Yeah thanks for the tip. I had it narrowed down to MM’s brew of either FS34079 (dark green) and FS34092 (dark euro green) and the 34079 certainly won the ol’ eye test. The dark euro green just looked like it had too much blue in it.

I used to use Vallejo Model Color Gunship Green 70895
