Quiet Air Compressor with accessories Model: FP2040

has anyone used or bought this compressor…just puchased it from wal-mart and intended to use it for airbrushing. I has a regulator and I purchased the mfg’s filter/moisture trap along with a quick disconnect for the hose/compressor connection…just thought that I would ask about it prior to using it…I am including a link to the page where the stats can be found in case someone wanted to comment.

That is the compressor that has been mentioned before on this forum as well as talked about quite a bit over at the airbrush forum I frequent.
It has mixed reviews but most people I have heard from say to avoid it as it overheats and dies an early death. There have been a few people who have had fairly good luck with them though so hopefully you are one of those. [;)]

Too bad you couldn’t have gotten one of those cheap $39 Whisper Jet II airbrush compressors that MikeV found at Ebay before the seller pulled all, what, 50 of them?

Good luck on your purchase.

Well…the way I figure it, I should be able to get my 60 bucks out of it for the time it does last. Not to mention that they do have a 1 year warranty and I will collect on that if the thing goes down hill. I will use it and get me a better one after the kid is born. It should hold up till then. Thanks for the info guys!

Warrior1973,

Just return it every 11 months. [:D] [;)]

I have that compressor and so far so good. It hasnt overheated yet and is working very well with my Badger 150 and Crescendo airbrushes.

Hook it up to a great, big tank (like an old water heater!). Pump it up and then paint from the tank for a week or two!
