Questions On Using Liquid Silver Paint

I am not sure how many of you have used Liquid Silver Paint to simulate chrome on cars. It was suggested to me by someone in the Finescale forum community (I don’t remember who) but anyway…
First question: I know I can spray it without thinning but should I undercoat it with gloss black? (I have some for use under Alclad II)
Second question: What thinner should I use for cleanup of the airbrush?
I’m looking for videos that will help me with this but I thought I’d ask here because you guys are the experts!

I use Tamiya airbrush cleaner , I found that works on any lacquer or acrylic paints. You’ll need to use it in a well ventilated area it has a strong vapour odour.
