Dragon USA has the Cyber Hobby “Early” and “Late” VVSS suspension kits on preorder on their website, but I’ a little confused on the tracks that come with the kits. The “Early” VVSS kits come with T41 tracks, but the “Late” VVSS kits come with T51 tracks. I think that the T51 tracks were reversible, but the T41 tracks were not. My question is which vehicles used the different tracks? I’m leaning in the direction that the T41s were used on M3 Lees and Grants, but not on Shermans (M4 and the rest), but this is only a guess. Also I’ve never see the “Late” type of suspension with the molded cross member on the face. Any idea which vehicles these were installed onto?
I’ve got a Tank Workshop Early M4 DV upper hull for the Tamiya kit and one of these VVSS suspension kits would go nicely with it! They’re being sold for $20 as opposed to Tank Workshop or Formations which sells their sets for $30! Plus they’re plastic…no CA needed!
