Question regarding 1/35 Scale Italian 20mm Breda Gun Mod. 39 (#35300)

I recently picked up your model kit of the 20mm Breda gun and have a few questions.
Because not all the parts are listed or shown in the instructions, what is part(s) A26, A27, and A28? I can’t find them anywhere on the instruction sheet and can’t figure out if they actually go together or are part of something else?

Likewise, I did not see any mention in the instruction sheet for parts A13, A14, A25. I am also assuming B1, B2, and B3 are assembled as the ammo crates? Again … nothing in the instructions on these parts.

The overall kit looks like it is going to assemble into a great piece, and I like the inclusion of the PE fret (looks very detailed), but the instruction sheet could use a revisit. The only thing that is clear is the PE gunsight and placement from the PE fret; even the placement of ammo crate details is very vague.

Parts A 26-28 really have me baffled though. Anyone have experience with this kit that can shed some light on these parts?

Hi Tom,
I assume this is the kit you are talking about…..

If it is, then welcome to the wonderful world of Mirror Models kits.

Mirror models are a grab bag of possible issues depending on which kit and which issue of said kit. This is one of their earlier kits and as such, suffers from a few issues.

One - Lack of clarity in the instructions. No sprue/parts map. In fact you would be lucky if they noted which parts not to use.

Two - Lack of positive locating points between parts. Lots of looking at references, test fitting, etc before gluing.

Three - PE parts that are required to build the model instead of just as optional replacement parts.

However - They do produce some otherwise rather unique model kits and look very nice when finished.

This model gun is also provided mounted in a truck, I’ll link the instructions below. It may show the parts you are asking about.

Other than that, try visiting their website for photos of the completed model for insight. As well, they usually list references used for the kit which may also be useful if you have access to them.

Good luck :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit- just found this also, may provide some help also.
