Question about the Dragon Hetzer

Will the Tamiya Marder III tracks fit the Dragon drive-sprockets? Anyone tried it? Thanks.

Thats a good question, is there a problem with the Dragon tracks or is one just being lazy, not wanting to use indies. How about this tigerman try changing the sprokets around.

Terry.

You hit it Terry. Lots of cleanup on the indies and with the lack of sag, vinyl aren’t a problem. Your also right…I’m lazy. I don’t have any extra Tamiya sprockets, just tracks.

Good question, all I can tell you is that the MK tracks for the 38(t) include a “spacer” for the Tamiya sprockets and my guess is that means they would be too narrow for the DML tracks. Hard to say without testfitting though.

I think you’ll have to test fit them. I was trying to put a set of Dragon indies on a Tamiya Sherman and the Dragon track was too wide. I had to put a spacer on the hub to get them to fit right. The pitch on the teeth seemed to be fine, the track fit the teeth okay, just a little wide.
