OK, so I bought a Badger 150LG airbrush on Ebay. I know the actual airbrush (not the model) is old. I’m guessing the actual airbrush was made in the '90s. I was cleaning it today when I noticed the inside of the airbrush was very rough. In fact, whenever I ran a swab around the inside, little pieces of cotton were being ripped off. I’ve had other Badger airbrushes and I don’t remember having this problem. It’s like the inside of the airbrush is unfinished. Has anyone else seen an issue like this before?

No. Sounds liike you got an old worn out airbrush. I would try to return it to the seller.
If it was worn out, the burrs would be worn smooth. [:D]
If you’re talking about inside the body of the brush, there’s several spots you may find a burr. It doesn’t take much to pull apart a swab or QTip, they’ll grab on anything. Even the finish on the inside of the cup will grab fibers out of a QTip. I have several different gravity feed Badgers and there’s at least one spot in the cup of each brush that will. So, I don’t use QTips or swabs. I bought a large, flat brush with a rounded tip to clean the cup, some interdental brushes to clean the passages at the front of the brush and a set of cheap bristle brushes at Harbor Freight for everything else that needs cleaning from time to time.
