I’ve owned this airbrush for close to 20 years. I haven’t used it in a long time but recently I cleaned it up and it sprays a good as ever.
My question- what size needle does the standard HP-C come with? I think it might be a .03, but I’m not sure.
Keep in mind I’m not talking about the HP-CS or Plus version. This is the original HP-C and I can’t find specific information about it.

Yes, the HP-C has a .3 mm needle/nozzle.

The Iwata Eclipse is a very good airbrush and I use it on “mission critical” jobs. I like the study needle. The only problem is that if you have to remove the inner nozzle, you better have the right tool or be very careful. For that reason I use a Harder Steenbeck with .2 needle. You can tell the precision is lacking in the seals. If I withdraw the needle from the Iwata (or the Creos - which I think Iwata makes) there’s no sign of paint above the tip. The HS needle will have a little paint on over half the needle. And the needle and nozzle are fragile. But they’re both very easy to clean and that’s important. (I’ve also got a Creos single action that I use now and then.) I think the airbrush is a finished technology. I have no idea how one could improve it.
