PV1 Ventura Koster Aero Enterprises

G’day,

I just had the pleasure of attending a local model expo here in Brisbane. I saw an excellent 1/48 scale model of a PV1 Ventura… and I must have one!

I asked the modeller which kit he used and was advised that the kit was a Koster Aero Enterprises vacform kit. Sadly a search on the internet did not reveal a supplier. I got an old email address for Koster, but my email bounced back.

Does anyone have a recent contact for Koster Aero Enterprises.

Regards

Simon

They’re tricky to get hold of any other way but direct from the manufacturer, as Swanny’s indicated. If you wanted to buy retail though, try www.greatmodels.com - I got some Koster B-24 updates from there not so long ago, so it’s likely they stock the rest of the range.

If you are not bound to a vac form kit, Fonderie Miniature has a multi-media injection molded PV-1 Ventura in 1:48 scale, available from Squadron for about $60.

That sounds like an easier option, although if FM’s 1/48th Halifax is anything to go by, there’ll still be a lot of work ahead of you.

The FM kit may be an easier build but the Koster kit is better detail and quality.

Many thanks for your help Swanny.

I got in contact and will have a Venturer in the mail soon.

Cheers

Simon
