Putty colors?

What is the difference in the putty colors and which one is for which thing? Thanks in advance.

Squadron makes two different colors green and white. They are the same. The only reason for the two different colors are so they do not bleed through to the paint. If you need to putty an area of the model that is going to be painted a light color like white or light grey you need to use the white putty. I made this mistake once. I was building a 1/72 Airfix Pe2 and used the green putty to blend the bottom wing joint to the fuselage. The bottom of the Pe2 camo is white. I put about five coats of white on the bottom of the plane and the green putty still bleed through the paint. I never made that mistake agian.

Thanks for the help. I’ll take that to note on my Airfix 1/72 P-38.
