Hello, I am not the best modeller so I am looking for the best alternative. I am wondering if you guys know of any stores or modellers that will build and detail scale models at a realistic price tag. I have found a couple places that offer to do this but they build super detailed meseum quality models at (although worth it) extremely high prices. I’m particularly looking for ww2 naval models of battleships and uboats.
I don’t know of anyone doing this, but places like “Danbury Mint” offer some nice pre-builts, but they are “pricey”. Unless you are absolutely hopeless at modelbuilding, the more you build the better you get ! I’ve been addicted to the hobby for over 50 years and can’t begin to tell you how bad I was when I started. I remember getting an Aurora candy apple red ME-109, and not knowing what decals were, I cut 'em out and glued them on !!

I know squadron.com has some pre-built aircraft and armor, you might look at those brand names and then see if they do ships as well.
