anybody have any war stories about pst models /[:0] i will take good stories too
i have built 3 and 2 0f 3 were %^$$ the subjects are very good they were zis trucks 1 cargo 1 fuel
the directions showed drive shafts none included had to make
the axles were 1-2mm too short and they remind me of the old matchbox models molded in 2-3 colors i think if it was not for the very interesting subjects they have i would not buy again
Wow, I’m surprised to hear that. I’ve built 6 of their models so far (KV-1s and IS-2s) and I didn’t have any significant problems with any of their kits. Was quite happy with the way the models turned out in fact.
might be the difference between the wheeled vehicles and tanks. Never made any m’self.

Yup, that’s defintely a possibility. Thanks DURR for the warning about the wheeled vehicles though, I had been considering picking a few of them up, maybe I’ll do some more looking around now.
I agree with some of the complaints you have, especially on their earlier trucks. All I did was stretch some sprue and re-make the shafts that way. Fortunately, they are under the vehicle and rarely seen.
As a builder who’s built at least 15 of PST’s armor, I do have to say that their tanks and some of their later trucks are smooth builds that go together very well. There are some inaccuracies in the shape of some of their tanks, but if that doesn’t matter to you too much, then they make some fun kits to build. Just watch out for the soft plastic they use, it gouges easy. That of course could also make it easy to apply battle damage to them!
Good call on the soft plastic, Duke Maddog, it can be a little tricky at times.
I almost started building a 1/72 T-54, but I gave it away the instant I got the 1/35 Tamiya T-55 (well, I got TWO of those, actually!).
I can’t vouch for the fit, but it looked like a nice kit in the box.
Has anyone built the PST S-300?
How is it?
Sorry, I haven’t tried that kit.
