If any of you guys and gals have read my profile, you know that my youngest son is a Staff Sargent and crew chief with the 188th FG of the Arkansas Air National Guard.
While they were on active duty from 9/13/2001 to 12/15/2002 he had the opportunity to crew chief their F-16C, #86-281.
Well, today at his guard drill he was given the honor of launching, for the last time in it’s hill scheme and as a “Flying Razorback”, #86-281.
Today, 12/10/2004, that plane was turned over to it’s new command.
It will be getting a few modifications and a new red, white and blue paint job.
It is on it’s way to becoming Thunderbird 7!!!
I am very proud of all 3 of my kids. But, it’s a little hard not feeling just a little prouder of one over the others today.
Y’all have fun modeling.
you have every right to be proud, sounds like he is very good at his jjob…and that is always something to be proud of. Having two kids of my own, and three step kids it is very hard not to brag about them all,. But thats one of the cool things about beeing a dad
Hey Adam.
I never had the opportunity to visit or deliver in Columbus. But, I stopped there everytime I was headed East or West to get fuel at the Ryder shop on the West side of town. The T-Birds will be in Toledo 8/28-29/2004. I know it’s about a 2 1/2 hour drive. But it looks like that’s about as close as they get this year.
And Bob.
You’re a little luckier. They will be doing their second show of the year at Eglin 4/3-4/2004.
As far as Panama City goes. I have had numerous opportunities to spend time there. Went deep sea fishing once and one of our regular deliveries was in Panama City. Johnson Brothers Meat.
You have got to have the whitest beaches I believe I have ever seen. The prime rib at the Black Angus is superb and the girls at Hooter’s…let me just say they were ALL qualified to work there. [^][:D][:P][;)][wow]
Chopperfan, thankyou for the dates that is definately within driving range! As for the P-47’s I can’t disagree they did have alot of good nose-art. I guess it was all of that room up there on that radial. Pass on my compliments to your son!
Keyworth, I do like the 'bolts but I don’t know if I could pick a favorite plane. It would definately be up there though…this is a cool pic. that I found!
