Well its done. Finally.
Tamiya’s 1/35 M4A3 Sherman. Painted in Model Master Acryl Olive Drab. And some Testor scale black. Its built OOB. Its not weathered because Im going to put it in a dio eventually and I will weather it accordingly then. I will also add the commander and extras when I do the dio. So here it is.
I probably need to add another dull coat to some of the decals again.
Well done!![tup] That’s one nice Shermie!!! Be sure to show us the weathered version.
[:D]your shermy looks great,nice work.[:D]
Good work! I noticed the decal broke off though and the tracks dont look as tight as they should Good work overall[swg][tup]
ygmodeler, looks good! nice, clean build. just needs some dirt and stuff…
now, it may be my eyes but is the front star a little askew?
Turned out a good shermie ygmodeler. The tools and 50cal look great. What color did you use on the tools?
Good work ygmodeler. Your Sherman turned out great.
Needs a little dirt though.
[:)]
Turned out pretty well ygmodeler. I’d tighten down those tracks a bit though.
Good job!
Thanks guys. How do I shorten the tracks with them on already.
I-beam- The tools are Polly Scale’s Earth Brown and the metal is Testors Oxidized Aluminum.
Nice work!
In addition to the comments already made, I might suggest drilling out the machine gun muzzles and painting the headlights.
Good looking job Ygmodeler4. Drill out that barrel on your 50 as suggested, and if you can shorten your track by a link or two, you should be in pretty good shape. Thanks for sharing your work. Semper Fi, Mike
ygmodeler4,
Looks good for not having the weathering done.
A couple of things;
Second picture on the left side of the turret there appears to be a small gap between the upper and lower turret halves.
The chevrons on the track look silver, I think these are the rubber chevron type, if so that would be incorrect.
If you want to try and shorten the track, I would cut a link or two from the bottom run below one of the roadwheels and see if you can super glue the ends together under the wheel. You might be able to get by with it, with out being too noticable.
Up to this point, give yourself a pat on the back for a good job.
Joe
looks good, glad to see you put the track back the right way! Inspiring me to do mine, but I’m waiting for the group build in August!
everything looks great![:D]
nice job
Thankyou all. And I will fix everything. I cant believe i forgot to paint the head lights.[V]
Don’t feel bad, I’ve left off tiny parts that I later realized should have been sprayed. [V]
Good job. The guys already gave good tips and suggestions.
Nice Job Dwight [tup], make sure you post some pics of the finished (weathered) vehicle.
