Just wanted to post some progress pics on the latest project. This Dauntless is for the Pacific GB. Any comments are welcomed.
I tried some new stuff on this one. I tried the preshaded panel lines and I like the effect alot. I also experimented with a new clear coat. It’s 3 parts MM semi-gloss and 1 part MM flat coat. I don’t like 'em too flat. The first one shows the detailed, weathered bomb carriage which will be covered up by the bomb! Oh well…
Looks good Wulf. I really like pre-shading too - looks nice on yours. The clear coat looks good too. Leon
Great job on the preshading (and all other aspects, too!). It’s a winner, for certain.
Preshading looks nice… I would have done just one more LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT (did I mention light?) coat of paint on the bottom, but that’s just me. Nice job, I really like it!

It’s the AM 1:48 Coral Sea Dauntless. A pretty nice kit but very intricate.
