Progress on Matilda Mk II

Here’s some progress pics!

My dad did the wheels and such things. He also did the gun mantlet.
I did everything else.
This is a very good kit with only a couple fit problems.
I will take all comment types.

Looks pretty good so far, but you kind of oopsed on the glue on the smoke dischargers and left some seams on the bedrolls. The bedrolls should be easy to fix, but the glue, I don’t know. Keep us updated.

Looks good! But I have never seen that tank B4, so I guess I wouldnt know

looking good to me ygmodeler4, this is one kit ive been keeping my eye out for and plan to do so ill be following this build keep the progress pics coming, also what paint job will you be goin with?

[:D] yes your build is looking real good so for, keep up the good work.[:D]

I agree with tigerman, Just a couple of glue oops’ but thats about all. looking foreward to more.

Looks good ! The Tamiya Matilda , may be an older kit , but looks good when completed . I have built one , and I have another on my shelf . When it comes to British 8 th Army stuff , my favorites are the Matilda , and Crusader MK II .

Thanks guys.
The smoke dischargers were a real pain in the but. They didnt fit hardly at all.
biffa- I think we’re going with this scheme.

Good progress so far. Keep us posted, specially when the paint starts to fly [:)]

good choice ygmodeler4 thats the one i always had a liking for too im looking forward to seeing this done

looks good. i’ve been wanting to build a matilda 2 and it looks like tamiya is the only available option. anyone know how accurate this kit is? it seems pretty old, i don’t know if i trust tamiya’s older offerings ( ever since i got that kv1 with the motorisation holes and all of about 5 pieces to the kit ).

Good job so far!

The paint scheme is going to look great.

Well Here a picture of the hull goatmonkey.

It has holes but I think there easy to cover up.

I dont even bother to cover up m holes in the old tamiya stuff, you cant see them oce completed. Unless they are on the sides of coures, then fill away.

The paint scheme is a very cool.

it’d be cool if i could actually make a motorized one. anyone know where to get the motors for these things?

i should post a picture of my 1:76 airfix matilda, has that same paint scheme (or something like it). i’ll upload it when i get home.

Looking good so far. Thanks for sharing.
