Process pics Pak 40

Here are some process pictures of my Pak 40. This is an old 1:35 Testor’s kit that I bought on Ebay for $2.00. I plan on towing this behind my Sdkfz251/1. I am thinking about making a tissue paper muzzle cover, since it will be in-tow. Anyone out there have a good technique for this? It’s been a long time since I have built any armor, so any comments or criticisms are welcome. Thanks.

Never tried that method yet. I believe you dip it in white glue and let harden. Something to that effect. Good luck and thanks for the progress pics.

Dilute the white glue with water.

Sharp looking kit. Good pice too![^] Should look great behind a 251.

Looks great so far. As for the cover, double or quadruple ply the tissue paper, then use watered down school glue to model it onto the barell. Tie it off, and allow to dry. Cut the excess and paint.

Looks great!

i would use kleenex cut to size and diped in diluted white glue

Use gift paper, moisten it, drape it over your part, add diluted white glue. Trim when dry.

Don’t use facial tissue as the texture is very overscale for 1/35 canvas. Once dried and painted, it looks like tree bark IMHO.

looks like a real nice build so far and nice photo work also–you can use tissue paper(like tissue wrapping paper, not kleenex or papertowel type) on and just use unthinned acryilic paint – when it gets dry just cut or trim as per the other suggestions— p.s. i also am in the bodywork business for 30+ yrs-- treadwell[:D]

Looking good!
