Problems with Badger Frisket Film

I people

I´m not shore if i´m in the wright forum but my problem is masking with Badger Frisket Film. I´ve used that for the first time to make the camouflage of a Spitfire, (the aircraft was airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics) once I peeled off the mask, ARGGGG, there were some parts where the paint slipped below the mask but the worse wasn´t that, the film, beeing alow tack film, peeled off some of the paint and left many glues residues over the paint. Anyone knows what could have happened? Does Maskol liquid mask be a better choice?

Thanks

I primarily use frisket paper to cover larger areas and for soft edges. It could be that your paper was a bit old and the sticky side lost its tack. The other trick I learned is to only mist along the edges of the frisket paper…no direct blast…several light layers with time to settle and dry a bit between them. This helps prevent paint from pooling along the edge and seaping underneath.
