Pro-Modeler Junkers Ju 88 1/48

I’ve been away from the hobby for a couple of months. During that time I managed to build an entire new work bench in the garage that gives me more surface area, more storage options, and since it sits right on the floor unlike my previous construction, no more headaches chasing after tiny parts to fly out of my hold and under it.

Anyway, I’ve finally managed to start on my next build, the Pro-Modeler 1/48 Junkers Ju 88. It’s been an interesting build so far in that I’ve discovered that none of the parts have the locating pins one usually finds on kits.

I’ve added electrical wiring to the office and installed Eduard seatbelts to each of the seats.

After taking these pictures, I noticed that I had mis-installed the oxygen tank piece, so carefully removed it and re-installed it to its correct position a little farther up in the cockpit.

Nice work so far,[tup] The office looks good!

Very nice work on the interior. The last pic looks like you got a nasty step at the fuselage join.

Regards, Rick

That looks like a great start Aggieman!

Are you having any fit problems with that kit? I’ve always thought about buying one of those dragon Ju-88 or Ju-188 kits.

Thanks for your comments. That forward section of the fuselage is separate from the rear portion and as I indicated, there are no locator pins. I’ve spent a lot of time dry fitting and making sure before I put any glue to any plastic. For where I’m at in this build, I’d recommend this kit (the Pro-Modeler is a re-box of the Dragon kit, from what I’ve read), but be prepared to take your time with it.
