After years of waiting Presidio Press is re-releasing this book. I wonder what all the internet sellers are going to do when they can’t sell this book for 400.00 plus anymore. I just place it on pre-order.

$117.00 ??? [:O] I haven’t paid that much for a book since college. I bet it’s great in detail but no way will I spend that much on a book.

It’s considered the “Bible for Shermanoholics” so there will be much rejoicing on this I’m sure. [:D]
$117 would be one of the cheaper specialty subject books I own. Look at the big picture. You could buy one book at $117 or several books at $20-$30 each, with many of the same photos and material and spend more. It all depends on how much you are into Shermans. I only hope that Presidio is using the original plates for the printing. Chivalry bookshelf re-published a book on the Battle of Wisby archeological excavations and since many of the original plates were lost, a facsimile and new plate had to be shot from page of the original publishing (with permission of course). This leaves moire patterns in the photo and degrades the picture quality considerably. You’ll see this alot in many of the Dover publications of reprints of older titles.
If you are into Shermans and the Sherman family of vehicles, this is the book. Since it will no doubt be a limited run printing, it might be worth while to pick up a few copies.
