Preserving airplanes

Just wondering as I get back into building WWII planes (1/48). I see all of your excellent builds and wonder how you keep them so nice. So many of you are building a lot of planes…are you keeping them in display cases? I am using a glass case for my current F4F diorama, but that HAS to be a problem for you frequent builders. I can’t stand how they look after catching dust for several years, and I’ve never found a way to really keep them dustfree other than the cases. How do you do it?

Matt

I keep some in Rubbermaid sweaterboxes. I don’t have room to display them all at once at present, so I rotate the stuff on the shelf every couple of months. I also have display priveleges at the local hobby shop. He’s got several display cases that he allows customers to use for dipslay. Helps pull more customers in as well.

Most of my models are kept in boxes in the loft. A few models are on show in my display case. Time to time, I change the display, giving each model a bit of exposure!
