I just spent the last hour in the Test section trying to re-learn how to post pictures. what seems to work is copying the URL into a post from my photobucket account.
The problem is when I click on the photo to look at it full size, it goes directly to my photobucket account. I don’t want that. I just want the picture to be imbedded in the post only.
Or copy at PB, and hit the righthand icon in the box with the scissors at the bottom left here. Just be sure to hit enter to get a fresh line after putting in text, or putting up a pic before you post anotherpic.
That still takes me to your bucket. Try putting each build in a separate album. Then I think it will only put up that pic. At the top left of each pic in PB, you have like 4 options if you hit the bar icon. Hit share, then the copy line (Bottom one on the share window that will open).
You can also go into PB’s settings and make the albums or bucket private, that will keep the whole thing from opening up.
I use PB when posting images. You should have a choice and I use the one specifically for forums/email (the bottom link on right hand side). Simply, click ONCE, go to forums, click once again to paste it in thread subject.
When you submit your thread response, you will see it. It doesn’t bring it up as a rather large image, but just perfect size for forums. Hope this helps.
So to be clear. What I want is for the picture to imbed in the thread without linking to the photobucket web page. Is this not possible? Maybe I’m just not getting it!
I know what you mean - you just don’t want to get the newest PB - BS, right?
I’m glad to say that I’m not a Photobucket user, so don’t know if it’s possible nowadays - PB does that on purpose, because it does want you to see that very BS, because that’s how they get their money. Making the service as good as unusable by the way, that’s sad.
Here’s a link to a SBS that I did some time ago - maybe that will help you any:
Glad I could help you a little - maybe you can find other picture hosting service that’s useful for a change? Looking forward to seeing your pictures and have a nice day
