Porsche Jagdtiger

Just completed this 1/35 old Dragon Jagdtiger built OOB. I modeled it after 305009 which was the 9th Porsche Jagdtiger built and used as a training vehicle. The first 50 Porsche Jagdtigers received the zimmerit coating and none of the Henschel built ones had any.

The only extra things I did to it was to use a 30w soldering iron to make the zimm and the battle tracks were modified into transport tracks since this particular Jagdtiger was believed to have this track only.

Paints used were MM enamels, and Alclad lacquers. Weathering was kept light with some washes and weathering powders.

Very nice work on the one color scheme, look great

Wow, hand cut zimm…ooff, that’s a lot of work. It looks fantastic. Well done.

BK

Thanks BK but actually quite easy and fast to make. One just needs a VERY light touch.

Thanks Tojo. Yes the yellow single color has lots of tonal hues from a marbling undercoat .

Your zimmerit is outstanding and your weathering really brought this vehicle to life. Nice job.

That looks really damn good! You got the most mileage possible from a bare basic vehicle and color scheme with minimal mud, dirt, chipping, etc. [y]

I agree with Stik.Just the right touch on everything. Outstanding PJ.

Thats really nice, great work on the Zimm and very nice finish.

Thanks guys, appreciate the nice words.

Yeah, she looks great!!!

The weathering and wear are nicely done but not overdone. [Y]

Thanks Gamera

I couldn’t agree more with all the comments! That is a fantastic job!

Bill

Hmmm.

I need to flatten some trees. Where’s the keys?

Thanks Bill and TB.

TB I’m sure that beast could also flatten out a good sized building as it plowed thru it. [:O]

Great work! I like how the zimmerit turned out I’ve been meaning to try my hand at using a soldering iron to do zimmerit.

That sure is a good-looking tank, PJ. [Y][Y][Y]

Bad A$$!!! [Y][Y][Y]

Thanks guys.

GS make sure you use a 30w or lower iron. I took a small thin old screw driver that was the perfect size and modified it to fit the iron. Go nice and light and you will be amazed how fast you can do the entire tank.

Nicley done!
