Hi All, in the current issue of FSM on page 53, a gentleman from Canada wrote a very interesting article on a material called POLYFIX, that supposely is best surface filler he has found. He goes on to say Polyfix can be found at your local Home Depot or Wal-Mart in the U.S.A. . I have been to several in the area (Destin,Fl.) where i live, and no one has ever heard of it. It seems the only place i have found it is on a website in Canada. Please read the article on page 53. I think you will find it pretty interesting, and like me would like to try it, but currently can’t find it. Anyone have any additional information if Polyfix can be bought in the U.S. and where. Also, has someone tried it and your feelings. thanks all, doc bailey
Doc, guess what…can’t find it in the San Francisco area either. Home Depot had it on their web site the night i read the tip, but I called a couple on the penninsula and they don’t carry it.
Truevalue dosen’t either.
Started me thinking though, I might try some joint compound for sheetrock. You could smooth that out with a wet Q-tip. Works on drywall! not sure how it sticks to plastic though.
Matt
Hi Matt, i wrote people at FSM to see what they can find. As usual, it will probably get lost in the hundreds of emails sent to them. If i can figure out how to order it from the company in Canada i"ll let you know. thanks for the reply. doc bailey
