I did some research about the guns for this train and find out that the guns that comes with the kit are not to good …looking. I decided to built my own guns. The 2 artillery wagons where equipped with 2 75mm and 2 100 mm howitzer each… The 2 75 mm are ready to paint…now i am working on 100 mm guns. To make the guns i used cooper tubes and some PE parts. The first photo present the 75 mm that was used on most Armored trains in Poland in 1939 
This is certainly one monumental undertaking. Keep posting the progress of this one, as we don’t often get to see something of this size and scope.

I find some aluminum pipes today in loco hobby shop and i use them to make the 100 mm howitzers for the artillery wagons… This very potent 100mm gun was made by Skoda… 
I also make a bicycle that will be laying down on one of the flat cars…

Hi, Back on track again…Will continue with the Polish Armored train… I’m almost done assembly with assault wagon…You see a lot of antenna musts with isolators…On top there will be a wire going around this isolators same as on the war photos… I also make a AA machine gun (polish copy of browning)but I think i will not use it there will be no room on flat cars…i am still not sure if they really use them like that in 1939… It’s hard to find a lot of info about this train…I only read ones about bofors AA and machine guns on platforms…Anyway…on the bottom you will see a photos of a Army bike from 1939… This is of course a copy of the original bike that was used in polish army by some forces…They are made by the same factory in Radom (still making weapons) that was producing Mauser for army and most military equipment and weapons before 1939…

Here is update on building tracks…I used balsa wood to create the rail blocks Cut first on table saw and then glued down with carpenter glue… As a guide I used original Trumpeter plastic railroads beads… placing them upside down on the diorama and inserting the pre cut wood blocks inside…This was very helpful to keep straight line with the woodblock…

Short upgrade on Armored Train. The turrets are only painted. The main body received a wash and I couldn’t wait and started some chipping etc… will continue with this wagon only…

It’s been 2 years already. For today I’m working on last part of this project the locomotive/engine. After this I will add some weathering, details and finishing touch. I want to be ready for October for loco Model show in Vancouver.
