Welcome to the forum, cote1995 !
Your “rank” increases with the number of posts.
For your special interest group, I’d suggest posting it under the “General Modeling” page.
Hope this helps, and have fun here !
Welcome aboard! [#welcome]
There is not one right now, but you are more than welcome to start one. As Pixilater posted earlier, starting one in the General Modeling forum would be a good spot.
Dear David Voss:
Well, I am very interested to start a new Latinamerican Aviation/Armor modeling related group, so please, help me how can I do it.
Thanks a lot
Manuel Guajardo
I have a model of the HMS Victory by heller which i have just started the hull calls for a copper colored paint where the plating would be. When i was buy ing the paints the owner of the hobby shop said to me " remember to give it a good wash" well i was a little embarise as i havent done a model in over 20 years and i really didn’t know what he meant by giving it a good wash. Help, wht did he mean and what do i do.
markp,
you’ll have a lot better luck getting this answered in either the painting or ship building sections, try moviing it there. You’ll also have better luck if you start a new thread to post your question. The hobby shop owner may have been referring to a couple of things. 1: clean the model before painting, to get fingerprints, dirt, mold release agents off the plastic (for better paint adhesion, smoother coat, etc.). 2: A highly thinned dark pigmented paint is often used to enhance detail, simulate wear. 3: maybe there’s a special meaning of wash as it applies to ship building, but I don’t know.
