[8)]This are the pics of my last dio ,is almost finish, just to give a much gloss look to the see,and some small details.
The bw picture is to copy a Matrixone one that i like a lot.
Tell me what you think,no problem with critics.
I noticed that your B&W photo had an orange tint to it so I saved the bigger version to my computer and forced the image coloration true B&W…I hope you don’t mind…see the revised image below. Keep up the good work…
Thanks guys for your nice words, that represents a good input to me.
I put a little orange in the BW picture to simulate the sepia tone of a old bw picture.
Rodc I agree that your bw give a better contrast ,so I save your picture also.Lol
Very nice diorama! Very dynamic.
One suggestion: fill in the cracks that appeared when the material you used for the water dried. There are quite a few large cracks visable that could be easily fixed with putty.
Good composition and nice work on the water, The figures look well painted as well.
Couple thoughts.
You have some silvering on the decals., Try glosscoating before you apply them to get a smoother surface for them.
The guy in the raft looks too relaxed considering his buddy is still in the water. The natural reaction would be to reach out to him to help him in, especially where the guy in the water is reaching for the raft.
I’d add some gloss over the model to represents it being wet. It just hit the water at a speed of at least 80 miles an hour and should have had a massive amount of backspray and should be wet.
Thanks J-Hulk,that´s what I mean by fixing small details, and Ajlafleche your idea of adding some gloss in the plane is absolutly right ,I never remember that, thanks, the guy in the raft can´t help the other because you don´t see in the picture but he is wound in the left leg.By the way ,what do you think that could do the look of smoke in the engine because of the low temperature in the water, some cotton.help me with that .
I’d leave off the steam. Remember, the plane has travelled some distance already with its cooling vents exposed to water. As soon as the surface drops below 100 C, you’re no longer generating steam. If you feel you MUST, use just a little bit of cotton from a cotton ball or white lint from the clothes dryer filter. Attach it with whilte glue and use s a spray of aerosol hair spray to fix the shape.
