Hello All,
I had the good fortune to visit the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center a couple of weeks ago while on a business trip. I’ve been there a few times before, however this time I’ve got a real camera rather than a point and shoot. Not to knock point and shoot cameras, my Canon S95 served me well and is capable of taking great photos. However, my new kit is a Sony NEX 5N that I use with Canon FD lenses (that are probably as old as me!) and between the sensor and the different lenses, the results are a lot better.
First off, here’s a link to the set:

My business trip was ill timed in that the Space Shuttle Discovery was placed there three days earlier - and when I arrived in the morning a few minutes before the museum opened, it was abundantly apparent how bad a day it was to visit: there were tour buses unloading and cars everywhere. Still, that’s a great museum with a bunch of my favorite airplanes ever.
Here is a sampling of just a few of the photos:
There are a lot more, at full resolution and you can save any that you find interesting.
If you haven’t made it to the museum, I heartily encourage you to do so. There are so many treasures there, words fail.
Best regards,
Mike
