Many thanks for your kind words, joe!

Chinese people volunteer army!!! haha
However I remember American solider’s coat should have no this kind of black?
Thanks so much for your kind compliments, ShermanBattleofthebulge!
Huang, if my memory serves me right, the Chinese figure set in the dio is from Dragon
and they named it “Chinese Volunteers”
Yes, they named it Chinese volunteers, which look nothing like Koreans.
Ok, maybe I am getting ahead of myself, but I tore into HeavyArty before for citicising, but this is just too much. I always build models OOTB as well, and for fun, and am not a stickler for accuracy at all, but this is just too much.
These short dios you’ve posted are good figures, but you should have just put it into one thread, not created 5 threads of 5 “dioramas” that all pretty much have NOTHING to do with what they’re called.
The figures are nicely painted, don’t get me wrong, but at least SOME consideration should be put into what you post.
Huang-May be your monitor-but the American figures have dark green coats on and I think the artist was going for a ‘wet’ look. So the Chinese warriors may not have been ‘volunteers’??
zokissima, I created only 4 threads, not 5 (I summed the two Korean dio’s together).
The reason is to see which one gets the most response, and I did this only on two
most popular sites - here and armorama. For the other sites, I summed up into two
or just one thread.
I found out that while “Crowded Square” got 5-6 responses at armorama, it scored
zero here at first which is kinda strange because it’s the one I like the most and I think
it’s the best among the 5.
This Joh fellow is creating many fine works!!
Send my compliments, and thanks for sharing!!
Many thanks for your kind compliments, gigalyncon!
Great work, very well paint and weathering, but the chinese look like the russians.
Pedro
very nice! I am also planning to build diorama based on Korean conflict theme. I have bought several kits (Dragon M-46, M-26, M4A3E8, Marine Infantry, Pusan Perimeter, Italeri Chaffee light tank, 105mm howizter and other products). It kind of sucks that Korean Kit manufacturers like ACADEMY is not manufacturing any kit for Korean Conflict theme. Even Dragon Korean War series kits are very hard to come by.
Anyway, your diorama pictures have inspired me to get my lazy butt off of the chair and start building.
Hey-cckang-Korea is the forgotten war as is Vietnam. I recently bought my first Vietnam kit and modeling a Korean subject would be cool as it’s more in my lifetime!
Yeah, you are right. The “Forgotten War” I finally had an opportunity to go to Washington D.C. to see the Korean War memorial and it was really something.
My grandfather was an Infantry Battalion Commander during the Korean war and my father was a platoon leader during the vietnam war so I do have some interesting photos of both wars. As my skills improve, I will try to imitate scenes from those photos.
As for Korean and Vietnam conflicts, until Dragon/DML introduced their line of products, we really did not have much for both eras. Tamiya had M48, M21Bulldog, M113 series, but nothing really was there. Academy started producing some Vietnam Era M113A1s.
Well, hope this will turn your interest on even more.
nice stuff, I"ve seen these on the other forums! cool
Many thanks for your kind comments, James!
I’ve got several new dio’s from “Joh”. These includes “Palestinian Guerrilla (Beirut 1982)”, “Episode Vietnam” and “Wiking Division (Hungary 1945)”. I hope to present
them in a new page early next week. This evening a new page will be available first but no armors - just 4 warships and 2 warplanes.
