I understand that Tom’s, Gold Medal, and others are offering, or about to offer, PE parts for the new Trumpeter kit. Who makes the best quality parts, and importantly, has good instructions? Thanks for any help.

I’ve had great luck with Gold Medal Models. Just got the PE set a couple of days ago for the Trumpeter Hornet and it’s beautiful. I haven’t seen their Essex set but I’m sure it’s top quality. I’m finishing up the Banner Arizona with Gold Medal PE and it really adds a lot to the kit.

Yes, for the most part they were. But you’ll still want good reference material, too.
GMM lists some good sources in their instructions.

I have seen pictures of the Toms and they were unbelievable. Retail is $48 but I think you can find discount of $40…or check it out on Ebay
