Phantoms Inbound! (RF-4C)

Hello all you cool cats ,
Here is Hasegawa’s 1/48 RF-4C representing an aircraft of the 15th TRS 18th TFW PAC.A.F.
Its my first build of the year(spent too much time on World of Warcraft)
Well I ve momentarily satisfided my phantom craving and am quite happy to share this recon bird with u guys.
Headaches? getting the one piece canopy(from another kit) to look like a 4 piece.

Also included is a family shot with my F-4G Wild Weasel
[:)][:)][:)][:)]special thanks to Jason Cheah of F-4dable for bearing with all my questions.

regards,
eng hui

Very well done Obiwan.

Eng hui,

that is a beautiful beautiful Phantom… phantastic

Very nice clean build! I’ve always liked the Lizzard paint scheme on Phantoms and you did a fine job of it.

Man, you got some SKILLS!!!
Keep it up dude!
Cheers,
John

Excellent builds of a classic plane. Very subtle paintjob, and great looking canopies/pilot figures too [;)]

Great looking Phantoms. You picked two units where I was stationed, the 18th at Kadina and the 52nd at Spangdahlem.

Nice builds you’ve got there, obiwan. The camo is really well done. Thanks for posting.

Thanks MartinJK, woodbeck3 ,bstrump, johnforster ,mikeiw ,berny13 and lemmonjello
for the kind words.

bstrump , I love the lizard scheme too(as you can plainly see=)) all thats missing is a F-4E
loaded to the teeth with bombs.

berny , I knew you would reply , as u have in the past when I posted my F-4G.
Do you have any photos you could share ,especially of any F-4S fromm USS MIdway?
A pal of mine is making decals for some of those planes.

Those are lovely looking phantoms , thanks for sharing

Phrickin’ Phantastic! Very cool builds.

Very nice work Obiwan. Good looking build. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Very sharp work, Eng Hui!
I love the camo and lo viz markings.
You didn’t get this one in Osaka, did you?

By the way, the curry was excellent!
Thanks! [:D]

thanks Sean ,Rick and Brian!

Brian , glad u like the curry ,its one of the better ones around here.
No Didnt get this one in Osaka ,but I did get the Luftwaffe RF-4E from there.
I trust your meeting at the ball park went well? Haha I m looking forward to the next Osaka trip.

Beautiful work on the recce Phantom. I spent a lot of TDY time at Kadena with the SR-71 and I loved to watch the Phantoms flying around the base. Both of your F-4s show a tremendous amount of talent and effort. Thanks for posting.

Sorry. Most of my photographs went MIA on one of my moves from overseas. I lost over 4,000 aircraft photographs, all because someone wanted my Playboy collection that was packed in the same box.

Thanks Yarbird78 ,what does “TDY” mean?

Ouch! sorry to hear about that Berny , anyways my pal will be coming out with some cool
Navy Phantoms in the future.

Next is a 109G for me.
I always think that phantoms are the new Me109 haha

obiwan:

Incredible! Amazing! An excellent build, among the best F-4’s I’ve ever seen. I only hope my F-4E turns out half as good.

Keep up the great work.

Mitch

TDY stands for Temporary DutY.

Eng Hui,
thats a fantastic paintjob you’ve done there! I love that colour scheme, an outstsanding build-thanks for sharing.

Darren.
