Although it says its for MAT and REV which is matchbox and Revell do you think i could make them work on the Heller kits?

You’ll probably find that some bits work well and some don’t. If the Heller kit is the re-boxed Airfix kit, then you have a M4. The Revell and Matchbox kits are different variants so some parts may not be useful at all.

I wouldn’t worry too much about incompatibilities. Regardless of the specifics of the kit, brush guards and periscope guards, would all be the same. At that scale, you’ll certainly have your work cut out for you.

I’ve got the Matchbox/Monogram/Revell 1/72 scale M4A1 76mm Sherman and the Eduard PE for them. The Heller kit is the Airfix 1/76 scale M4 75mm Sherman, not quite the same animal or scale. Both the hull and turret are completely different.

Besides, putting PE on that nasty Airfix kit is like throwing good money after bad. For the cost of the Eduard PE set, you could get the cheaper, but better Revell Sherman. An even better 1/72 scale Sherman is the Italeri (ex-Esci) M4A1 75mm. I’ve found that most of the Eduard PE parts will work on the Italeri kit just fine.

I should also add that Eduard and ExtraTech have just released a series of really nice Sherman tank kits. These are graduate level kits that run between $25-30. I picked up the Eduard M4A3 (76)W and it is really nice. Of course for $25 it ought to be nice. The ExtraTech kits are the M4A3E2 Jumbo and M4 early.
