I am looking for paint to match the Yellow and White pavement lines on a road. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Plain white and an orange-yellow, about the shade of a schoolbus. The exact color match isn’t really important. Once it is weathered, it will look like a painted road.
HeavyArty is spot on.
As a civil engineer, I see a lot of road linework up close (I design roads, rail and airfields). The yellow on roadways and tarmacs for both vehicles and aircraft is almost a perfect match for orange-yellow as used on propeller tips and trainer aircraft. Pollyscale makes a great match in their acylics range.
Cheers
Mike
You could really challenge yourself and try to include a reflective component in thepaint so that it “glows” when light is shone on it like real road paint.
To get the right colour I have gone into an artists supply shop, looked at the tubes of paint and then looked out the window at the lines on the road and compare…repeat until satisfied
