still hoping against hope to find some help for an old testor’s OV10 Bronco kit; have heard of great aftermarket interior/update (to “D” model) kits by “paragon designs” - is this outfit still out there, or are they no longer extant? and, if that’s the case, which model/hobby auction/swap sites might be worth a try? any assistance rendered at this point is HUGELY appreciated! htanks, all! PS
Paragon were GONE some years back, but in the last couple of months they’re back & in business. If memory serves, Hannants over here in the UK are stocking the Bronco updates, and that probably means some stores in the UK like Great Models & Squadron will too. Punch it in on a search, and I bet you come up trumps.
What Mike said, Paragon is back and Hannants is stocking everything that is back in production. I have gotten several sets recently (b-17) and they are all of great quality.
I ordered a bucket load of resin from Paragon - A6 stuff, Tornado stuff and the Jaguar T2 kit direct from the man himself and was impressed with everything.
The OV10 stuff is current and I think that there are 2 different kits available.
The contact details were at work - that mickey mouse airline that I worked for was shut down last week and I have lost access to my work PC.
He is based in Norwich, England, and if I can get hold of the info, I will post the details.
I would suggest ordering direct from Paragon as Hannants mail order is probably the worst there is.
Don’t think you can - Paragon does not operate anymore - they were absorbed by Hannants!!
Midupper - I think you’re half-wrong, half-right there. From what I’ve seen, Neil Burkill, the owner of Paragon seems to use Hannants as his UK distributor. That’s how it seems, but I don’t know of any link between them other than that.
From what I remember, he disappeared off to Cyprus some years ago to do something else, but recently made the decision to return to the UK & reopen his business. He finally got production out of the door earlier in the year, and is now filling up his back catalogue, and doubtless working on some new goodies for our delight!
I wish he’d hurry up & re-release his 1/32nd Mosquito kits though, as I’m dying to get all the bits I need for mine [:(]
Mike’s got the straight info going here. Neil had taken off to work the F1 circuit for a while then returned last year to reestablish his shop.
ah - wasn’t sure of the F1 link, so I left that out… Thanks for the confirmation Swanny [:)]
Tell you something though - Neil Burkill is one talented guy. I’ve seen so many good words said about his kit on the Net. I’ve only got one of his products so far - a set of 1/48th Herc wheels for my AC-130U, but the detail on them is exquisite! Go out & buy his stuff now, so he doesn’t leave us again! [;)]
Absolutely - yes his stuff is superb - glad to hear of the “set up”.
Ordering direct was how I got my goods in June.
He does ship direct.
When I looked on Hannants, they listed everything that I was looking for as out of production, Neil had everything that I needed and shipped promptly.
There was also a list of up and coming releases which I threw out by accident, which had a lot of nice stuff on it.

Paragon is indeed back. I’m slowly getting his sets for the B-17. A question for Swanny: have you decided which one you’re going to do? My project is a ways away yet, but I really want to see how yours turns out.
I heard that there is a store in the U.S. that is going to carry Paragon goodies. Is this true??
Derwin
There is a company named Avia Imports in the United States that USED to carry the Paragon line before he stopped producing the first time. I don’t know if they will be carrying the line this time around or not.
I would post the link to their site but, it’s still under construction. I have sent them an e-mail inqiring as to whether they will be handling the Paragon line and am patiently waiting their reply.
I’ve heard of Avia - they distribute Compass Rose resin. It was their UK operation I got my Wyvern update from last year for my Dynavector Vac.
Anyway - I’m almost 100% certain that Great Models stocks Paragon’s goodies, as I get a regular email from them, and I’m sure I’ve seen the name on their new items list at some point.
Oggy - how did you manage to order direct? I’ve never even managed to find his website…?
Derwin, I am still collecting stuff. I have three to build; a visible G, another G that will probably be converted to a PB1W and another F that will most likely stay an F. I think the last thing I really need is a radio room package and a few more hours in the day.
