here recently money has been tight, with car repairs and bills. so i was looking for a alternative to expensive plastic modles, and i came accross card stock modeling or better known as paper models. the best site ive come accross is www.fiddlersgreen.net.
i bought one of thier mega cds and it has every form of aircraft. some easy to build and some more difficult. my first ww1 model was a spad IV that had a shamrock paint job and i was pleased with the results. but im afraid that card stock modeling isnt getting the spot light as often as it should. if you were to look at some of the models ive seen you wouldnt believe its paper. and no real tools are needed, just scissors, glue (i prefer liquid elmers, the sticks dont work), and a color printer. so give it a try they have a few free modles and cheap ones aswell. let me know what you think [:D]
Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here. I, for one, can always use some fresh ideas and that one looks like it would be fun. Might have to give it a try.
Iv’e seen some paper models built up that were pretty impressive, but I prefer to work with plastic kits. Would love to see some of yours if you can post a few pics.
im printing out a hell cat right now, ill be sure to post some pics when i get done, but some times they dont turn out (fat fingers sometimes cut off course) thanks for reading
I built the free Fiddler’s Green Moraine Bullet card kit and had a ball with it.
I shrunk it down to 1/144 scale, assembled it, and rigged it.
I bought a Bristol Fighter and Fokker Dr.1, and plan to do the same thing with them.
Regards,
