Panzer IV J Actung Jabo!!! Completed 8/11

I started this recently,it’s going good so far.I would say that it’s similar to Dragon kits in detail, the plastic might be a little softer, and some of the attachment points are pretty thick, but all in all it’s going well
It’s not gonna be a full blog, but I’ll post some updates

How are those tracks?

Very nice, came from Poland in about a week, total $29.00 you click them together by pressing down with tweezers last links are open so they get wired or pinned.whole run took about 20 min, there are videos online.

Ohhh, that looks good Tojo! Bought my first Border model a couple months ago but haven’t built one yet. Looks good!

Here are shots with the completed turret, the armor was slightly warped.I straightened it with some warm water.Everything is done except for extra tracks and small small bits.

Roadwheel garden planted, and shurzen assembled and primed.

I did a little bit over years weekend got the basecoat down.

Wow great progress. Looking really good Tony. Those tracks are interesting.

Looking real good Tony! The schurzen make a Panzer IV look so much more imposing.

She’s lookin’ good! Any new updates Tojo?

Been plugging along with this one, here’s how far along I am,camo and some basic weathering, started a little on the flat bed also, nicer weather less time at the bench.Schurzen is primed a ready to go also.

Looks impressive Tojo, nice work on the camo! Looking forward to the weathering and other fun stuff!

Very nice! I’ve been tempted to give Border Models a try.

Very nice work on the camo. I’m looking forward to the tracks and schurzen to be attached. This looks good, so far.

Thanks everyone,I believe Border is associated with Takom, the sprues are much like their kits.

Just a small update:with the vehicle all but done except for the schurzen plates,I got to work on the flat car, pretty complicated, all the girder work is mind numbing and it really won’t be visible underneath but it’s progressing.

Looks good Tojo! You know what the underside detail is there for right???

For some judge at a con to pick the darn thing up to see if you detailed it where it would never be seen… [8-)]

Looks good, the detail looks pretty decent. Is the shurzen quite thick or is it fairly realistictly thin?

It’s thin,not plastic but metal,update pics soon

Cool Tank, Tony!

Your camo sure sets it off. If I ever build armor again, I know who to bother for camo lessons.
