Panther G with FuG 1250 "ambush scheme" complete

I used the Osprey “Panther Variants” as a reference for this “G”(October '44). The FuG 1250 was only mounted on the cupola on my reference subject. I have yet to see a pic of one with all three scopes mounted. Tamiya acrylics all 'round, got the hard edge with “Playdo” masks. The usual Fruil tracks and Rubio tube. My first attempt at an "ambush " scheme.

Enjoy, as always, all comments welcome and appreciated!

WOW!!! Looks great. How did you do the circle pattern? Template? That’s a type of ambush scheme I haven’t seen.

Jason,

I just did it by hand with an applicator, it took a while!

Woweee… That is fantastic Steve. Now that probably calls for more patience then assembling PE? Just a beautiful job of painting [bow] [bow]… Semper Fi, mike

by hand? I am duly impressed

I got the book and it looks like you did a good job of replicating the scheme. Another quality build from you, keep them coming.

Thanks for the comments. I noticed that this DML kit is not as good as the “A” or the “D” releases, this must be an older mold. Still, it was a very nice kit and fit was very good. A lot of Jagdpanther parts in there for the spares box though. The Balkankruez was also sprayed on using a mask. The decal just wouldn’t lay down over the ribs on the stowage box.

WOW… great job, really like the cammo scheme. thanks for the pics!

thanks Jeff!

Very nice job! Playdo? I use “Sillyputty” for the hard edges. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for the pictures and tip. [tup]

Great job on the camo scheme. Great job overall.

Yep, good ol’ Playdo! I asked my grandaughter for a loan. I didn’t have any sillyputty, so I used the Playdo, worked great!. As I was working with the stuff, I had a crazy idea about zimmerit! It dries hard as a rock in about 2 hours! Probably wouldn’t stand the test of time though.

I always know good paint work when it actually physically affects my eyes. That one really makes me DIZZY. I think the soldiers were drinking when they thought it up[:p]
