Panther G Steel Wheels

Here’s a pic of my newly repainted “old” Panther G Steel Wheels. After seeing lots of good camo schemes in the Panther Group Build, I was inspired to redo the camo of this one. I actually previously used Tamiya Dark Green (IJN) which is very dark in a 3-tone camo and it didn’t look right. So, last night I stripped it and repainted it.

I still need to put the tank number and do some more drybrushing tonight and a little paint-detailing here and there.

One problem of this kit is that it came with rubberband type tracks which are too tight. So what I did is to stretch it to allow more room for a sag. Even then it still couldn’t look as good as the indy ones.

This kit BTW is the same kit featued in my first dio. I will also re-do that dio by adding more items like the tank supply crew and some more debris perhaps.

Anyway, just want to share the pics as taken last night.

Great looking Panther…Nice paint job Dwight

Ahh man just getting the dreaded x boxes. I think I just found out where microsoft got the name for the system now!

Ok I posted and now they are back. Great repaint job Dwight. You must be out of fresh kits with all the repainting you are doing.

Dan: Thanks.

LQ2: Actually still have some unbuilt kits and A shermie on going. Just got inspired by the great camo schemes you and the other guys in the Panther Group Build did. Thanks. A dio is also bein prepared (or re-done) with this one.

Great rework Dwight (although I still like the first job you did too!)

Looking foprward to seeing the completed Dio

I do like my Panther D better, too Pete. Just wanted to give anew look to my old kits. A dio will be coming soon. Thanks.

I don’t blame you for choosing a steel wheeled build. I hate those rubber tires. Looks very nice as always Dwight.

Love the re-work Dwight. Very nice camo job.
