I finished this vignette (or is it a diorama) at the end of last month. It’s the old Tamiya Pak 40 kit from the '70s; the bricks are 3D printed by me with files from Nightshift’s Patreon (Martin Kováč). This vignette wasn’t even really planned, but I feel like my more or less unexpected projects are often the most fun, and this was no exception. I managed to finish it in about two weeks, and really enjoyed it.
That turned out great. Figures and gun look really nice and the base is well done.
Nicely done! The bricks make the scene, they were a great choice.
Nice diorama. This old Pak 40 is nice because the figures are basically 1940-42. It’s a pleasure to build and paint. This dio really flows as you can tell from the spent rounds casings.Warriors (OOB) made some very nice WSS Pak 40 figures that were late war. Someone needs to make something like that again. ![]()

Thanks folks. @TigerII MiniArt makes a kit in this scale (MIA35409) of a late war Pak 40 with a Waffen-SS crew.
Thanks for the info Solomon. I checked out the MiniArt website, and although they still had it on there, they had the discontinued X marking. This looked like a very good kit. I would have to look for it independently. These are the 2 I’ve built. The 1st one is from Tamiya, the 2nd is from AFV.
