Hello All. say I have question Im scratch building and structure and need and lighted sign and having hard time coming up with solution what I was thinking was can clear styrene sheet be painted to color I need in order to transmit light effect I need? thank you
That shouldn’t be any problem other than the fact that some colors are more opaque(let little or no light through) than others so you might have to thin the paint to make it less opaque. And applying it with airbrush, if you have one, would be the best way to apply the paint, especially if you’ve had to thin it, to get even coverage. But it could definitely work.
One option is to apply magic marker coloring instead of paint. Especially those highlighter colors are very translucent.
