my advice, dont prime coat your figures coz the creases and details like pockets, linings, etc. fade. it gets clogged with paint and aint that visible when finished…
start with the dark colors first like flat green (80%)+ flat white (20%)
then red brown, dirty white…
What do you have a s a source to use as a guide? Personally, I start with the base color. For modern BDU camo that would be tan. Just paint the whole uniform. Then I do the green, painting it on in splotches so that the tan is still visible. One thing I do is paint it as it is sewn together in real life. In other words, I’ll paint the pockets , the back and the front separately and make sure that the patterns don’t wrap over to the other parts so that it looks like seems where two panels are sewn together. After the green comes the brown in the same paterns as the green. The final step is the black, which should be thin, squiggly stripes rather than splotches, and should be layed in sparingly. It’s better to have too few than too much. Study your source closely and get to know how the different color paterns mingle together and the average sizes. Use a pocket and see how much of the area of the pocket is covered by, say, a single green splotch. Try to use that as your guide for size throughout the peice.
thanks this will help alot
