See if you use any of the same techniques as this guy…
Looks like he was using a profile sheet from a Squadron book! Super cool video! The music was a little lame but really fascinating to see how it’s done on the 1:1
GREAT!
…he forgot to ‘pre-shade’ and overcoat with Future. HAAAAAA!
Also forgot to wash the panel lines and weather it up. Tires are also to new looking…[;)]
What a nice Bird though, I want to hear it fire up in the next segment…
Great post there Mike! Its nice to see proper research was done before this beautifull bird was painted. It drives me nuts to see someone spend hudge amounts of money to restore one of these beauties only to paint it in some completly incorrect colors and markings. Man I whish I was rich enough to afford the real thing. I guess for now I will have to settle for my little plastic replicas!

That was pretty cool. I was formally a automotive painter. With the spraygun he was using he probably had to fill that gun at least 8-10 times to spray the RLM76 on that plane. Also the Griffon engined SPit was nice too.
Were those Eduard masks he was using?[;)]
Great video.
Karl
LMAO Karl!
I wonder if he was using Tamiya masking tape also. I also wonder hom many botles of Future it is going to take to cover that one. By the way where do you get 1 to 1 scale decals or do you have to print them yourself on a ALPS printer!
