In order to complete a progect on time I will have to use two different brands of paint. Both grays light and dark. I was wondering if I paint future between the two paints if that would work? I am trying to avoid any incapibilty.
Yes, no problem to paint over future, in fact if the two paints are the same kind of paint (acrylic or enammel), you can paint, (no matters the brand) over each other (let´s the first one -you must your models from the lighter to the darker color- dry)
regards and happy new year

The key here is to insure that the previous coat of paint is fully cured. There is a big difference between what most people call “dried” an cured. Dry to the touch is not cured. Full cure can take anything from hours to days.
Curing can be greatly accelerated by the application of warmth after the paint is dry to touch. A food dehydrator that uses a heating element and a fan is ideal for applying just the right amount of heat in the right way. The effect can also be done with a large box and a 40-60 watt light fixture, but you have to be very careful about the fire hazard. About an hour of such a treatment for most modeling paints is all that is needed.
If you are coating enamel over acrylic, it is critical that everything be done to promote bond of the acrylic to the plastic. For such an application, a thoroughly cured “prime coat” of Future works as well as anything else. Future is also an excellent barrier coat.
Hi I am painting with acrylic on a F-15. The botom color A light gray is xtracrlyix by hannants. I habeen drying now for three days.
The second color darker will be poly scale, both acrylic.
By the way what is the best way to put on the top color pattern, on the F-15?
