Friends, I need some ideas for reusable measuring devices to mix paint in. I paint scale autos with automotive paints that require specific ratios (2:1:1, 4:1, etc.) for mixing of the various components. I can get plastic paint measuring cups at the automotive paint supply store but unfortunately the things are made for much larger quantities then I really need. Also, I’m trying to limit the mess I typically make in drawing the stuff out of the containers. Your comments and ideas would be most appreciated.
You can get empty 1/2 oz. paint bottles (or recycle old ones) in which to mix & store the paint. You can also get an eyedropper or pipette & measure the ratio by counting drops.
Hope this helps.
You may be able to buy them locally at a rod supply place if you have one nearby.
Otherwise you could just order 300 of them and save on shipping. [:D]
I am going to buy some myself as they work great and they are flexible so you can squeeze the top of the cup to form a smaller spout when pouring into your airbrush. I use eye droppers from the drug store to take paint out of the bottles and into the mixing cup.
