Paint color for hair

I am wondering what color people use for light blonde hair I have yellow and sun shine yellow but those are not the right shade.

I tend to use shades of tan or sand color and then use a light brown wash for blond hair

These two are still a work in progress….:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Mr Color does make a line of paints that are tailored for figure painting and does have a blond. I have also heard/see people use Randome and Sand colors for Blonds as well.

I use Tamiya XF-60 for blond hair on 1/35 figures see that Brad Pitt guy

For blond, I use buff for the base. I then use a very thin wash of a slightly darker color, which could be dark flesh, or an ochre, using the molded detail on the figure.
I do the same thing for brunette and for redheads, too. A base color and then a thin wash of a darker shade to provide some contour. For redheads, that’s actually red, and then brown in the wash. I’ll adjust the colors on the palette, too, making them darker or lighter as seems right for the subject.
