Paint app for smart phone

You may already know but I’ll share… I found an app listing mostly all paints and the companies that produce them I use it to look up Tamiya codes and picking paints on apple it’s called model colors. It shows the specific color and also gives you the ability to create an inventory. it has other festures too

I use this app as well. The developer has updated it a lot since last year. He’s very proactive and takes suggestions very well.

For nonapple user you might look into an app called paintRack. Has a very large assortment of different companies, including non-hobby ones.

One week free trial. Then, :moneybag:.

I use Hobby Color Converter. Has several different Paint manufactures on it and shows comparisons for what ever brands you want. It can even use the camera from your phone to see a color on something and tell you what the closest match is. It is free to use, but you can give donations if you see fit. I know its on Android, not sure about Apple.

No, doesn’t look like it. Did an App Store search on my iPhone and it did not come up.

Stumbled across this and will check it out, also want to mention iModelKit, which I’ve used for a couple of years. Best function (for me) of that app is that you can select an exact paint from an exact line and it will show you similar colors in different lines so you can see how close one paint is to another. It also has a mixing calculator, but I’ve had mixed (ha ha!) results with it…and that is a whole other topic!

@gomeral Are you using the full version or light?

Thanks,

I paid for the full version a while back, and mine has the inventory module, but I don’t recall if I paid for that separately or it came with the “full” version back in the day. I don’t use it, although I started to before I gave up and realized I didn’t want to manually enter 18 gazillion items!

Per the app, I’m using v2.0.4 (build 034) of the “Pay release”.

Thanks for the tip. I downloaded and quickly upgraded to the paid version ($5). It’s a very handy app.
