I just ordered a Paasche VL set…is it any good? Tell me about it, and how hard is to keep operating? I have a couple of Aztecs i want to get rid of. Best offer takes them…maybe this isnt where is should be saying things like that…if so, pardon the mistake
The VL has been around for a LONG time and is still real popular amongst airbrush artists and modelers. Parts are easy to find normally and they are well made. The only pet peeve I have with them is the feel of the bulky body and trigger action. They are too bulky for my tastes even though it is the airbrush I learned with. [:D]
The trigger is not as smooth as the newer designed airbrushes but it is pretty good. The trigger plunger has a hinge on it that is a pain to get lined back up with the hole it goes into, but you get the hang of it after a while. I personally would have bought an Omni, Vega, Anthem or Eclipse, but you chose a pretty good model there anyhow. [;)]

Thanks for the info, Mike. Maybe the bulkiness will feel better in my big catchers mitt hands. I just got so fed up with the Aztecs, i had to make a change. I havent been airbrushing all that long, so maybe the problem was “pilot error”. As long as this is easy to clean and keeps painting, i will be happy as a hog at a trough.
huskerguy,
You may very well love the feel of the VL as there are many guys who like them along with the Badger Crescendo which is the same shape. I have fairly big hands too but I found I liked the smaller diameter airbrushes like the Vega and Omni.
Let us know how you like it when you get it my friend. [;)]

Sir,
If you could email me some info on the brushes, I might be interested.
i got the Paasche VL this afternoon . Is it as complicated as the instructions make it out to be? How about cleaning it…difficult? Would appreciate some you Paasche users input…thanks.
