Nice work! Very good job of buttoning everything up on a model that wants to have everything opened up. You hear people that love that kit and that hate it, but you proved that a little patience can make a beautiful model of it.[Y]

I’m not a big fan of the P-61 but that black certainly gives it a sinister look about it and I also like that slight shine about it. I’ve seen one with a matt finish and it just didn’t look right to me. I really like the paint chipping too. Very cool looking build.

Very nice build! From what I have heard about this kit it looks like you have tamed the beast.[Y]

John thanks appreciate the kind words . I must say the gear doors buttoned up nicely. The canopies not so much! You’re right I love to hate this kit lol!

Thanks Blitzwing ,black has always been a difficult finish for me to get the right ‘look’ to it.

I really like the way you simulated the spinning props. Great job.

Tom did that exact thing and decided the less is more worked better for me ,thanks all the same . That pic is really cool btw!

It looks pretty neat. I have been closely following the P-61 restoration that is in progress at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, Pa. The more that I learn about this Warbird the more fascinated I am. I did go to the trouble of getting a lot of extra goodies for the Monogram kit that I have in my stash. When I get around to doing it I want to make it look really good ( at least the best that my meager skills will allow ). Anyhow, NICE JOB !!! Bob

Thanks Bob,yes I’ve been following the MAAM restore as well. Looking forward to seeing yours build out with all the goodies! Cheers Trey
