P-51D Started-a bunch of progress pics

Started to work on a P-51 last night. My golf outing was canceled today so got some more time in this morning after running a few errands. This will have the Dynamic Modeling motor for the prop with synchronized sound.

Remembering Krystal Klear is used to make small windows since it spans an opening then dries clear, I figured I’d give it a try for the bezel glass in the Eduard PE IP. In the second pic it is nearly dry and clear.

Post-It template was used to make wood floor from a cigar tube liner. The PE is Eduards set. 2 frets of stuff…1 in color. need to give my old eyes a break. Some bits added with plastic and solder.

Looking good so far. I love the way that floor looks. Nothing looks like the real thing!

Wow! First time I see pre-painted PE sets. It worth the investment, cause it’s quite impressive. Nice job so far.

Jerry - Yupper…looks like the forum hiccupped. Are you working on that now?

Yann – I think this is the 4th Eduard set I’ve use and I like ‘em also far. A little learning curve… more getting used to microscopic parts than anything else.

That is awesome work, and the Eduard color p.e. really brings out the detail! The Krystal Kleer dial faces is an excellent touch! Will be looking forward to progress pcs as you go, thanks for sharing!

I have run this a couple of dozen times… I just can’t stop LOL. The motor and soound board are from Dynamic Modeling.
